My name is
Catherine (Cady May) Goodwin, and I am a spinner, knitter, shepherd,
woodworker and the inventor of the Spindolyn™ (and knitting machine
tools and other stuff, but that is another story)
A piddler,
ponderer and tinkerer by nature, the spindolyn evolved about 20 years
ago out of a series of failed attempts at "reinventing the wheel"
(sorry, bad pun, lol) that began over 25 years ago, when I was still
chasing a large flock of sheep and a small pack of children around a
much bigger farm and spinning into the wee hours of the night.
Now-a-days, I prefer a smaller flock, and love the portability and spur of the moment spinning that a spindolyn affords.
I owe big debt of gratitude to all the spinners that have helped and encouraged me along the way.
If you are still curious about the invention of the spindolyn, you can visit my "about page" of my etsy store...
Farmer, gardener, shepherd, cook,
spinner, knitter, lover of books.
Birder, woodworker, lover of dogs,
creek walker, rock thrower, crosser of logs.
I do a bunch of other stuff, too, but have run out of rhyme : )
